Fix For Outlook Issue!

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all of your reports on emailing problem with Picasa and Outlook. I am happy to report that after much investigation, we've identified the culprit and have found a fix!

Here's the low down:

The problem occurs when the system has multiple email accounts and is set to "Prompt for a profile to be used". In other words, this is when you try to send an email and you get a prompt to select a email profile prior to the email composition window opening.

To avoid this, you can set Windows to not prompt you to select a profile by selecting a default profile. Keep in mind that this is the short term solution until our next release where this will be fixed. Once this is fixed, you will be able to go back to prompting a profile.

Here are the instructions:

1. Open your Control Panel.
2. If you have the "Classic View" of the Control Panel click directly on the Mail icon, if you have the "Category View" of Control Panel click "User Accounts" then click "Mail".
3. In the "Mail Setup - Outlook" dialog (window) select "Show Profiles".
4. Change the setting for "Prompt for a profile to be used" to "Always use this profile".
5. Select a default email profile to be used from the drop down menu.
6. Click "OK".

That should set everything back to normal again. We appreciate all of your posts... it's been of a great help.
